Betcha thought I forgot about this blog!  To be honest, I did!  Lots going on...sort of.  Chloe and I just mostly try to hang out and watch our food intake.  Our wonderful vet cut back Chloe's diet so I'm dieting in sympathy.  The only problem with this is the new member of the family,  Persephone Jane.  She is a long-haired tortoiseshell and will be 3 in March 2016.  Chloe Saphira turned 9 in August.  Persephone is kind of a maniac and if she isn't fed that amount at least 3x/day, she mutinies and runs back and forth through our apartment,  sometimes bullying Chloe.  I do watch them and Chloe pretty much holds her own, even though Persephone is bigger than she is!  We are all three too fat so the battle goes on...

Persephone was pretty quiet when I first adopted her (previous owner was going to take her to the pound for no good reason) so my niece and I stepped in and she came to live with Chloe and me.  Once she settled in, she nearly drove us bonkers!  After getting my tax refund, I had her spayed and things are still pretty lively but not like before!!

Anyway, we are doing well here in Albuturkey and hope you are doing the same!

Embarrassed!

I am absolutely 'shamed!  I have shockingly neglected posting!  I've moved (yay having our own washer & dryer!) and other stuff.  My mom can't seem to finish unpacking though.  She talks about "decluttering."  I hope she doesn't declutter me!  The clutter?  Meh.  She does have too much stuff, though.

We're glad the hot, hot summer is over and it is nice and cold.  Mom says it's better than summer but wishes it was a little bit warmer.  I'm glad that I don't go outside!  We worry about kitties that do go outside and even more about kitties with no inside to go to.

We have our Christmas decorations out but haven't decided on a place for a tree yet.  Mom will need to do that decluttering stuff so we can put a tree up.  It will have to be a little one, though, but that's okay.

Merry Christmas to all the kitties out there and to their peoples, too!

What Is Next?

Mom says she's going to throw some stuff away. I don't like that idea. How can I hide and attack her when she walks by my chair if there isn't anything to hide behind??!

The Conomies

Mom talks about the conomies. I know that conomies is bad but what are they? Bad things can't be stuff like 'nip toys and stinky goodnesses. If they're bad, they are probably some kind of weird dog toy. That's what I think conomies are.

I forgotted again

Well, it has been one long, hot summer. And with it being 'monsoon season' lately, it is hot with a gazillion per cent humidity. That said, we're getting a decent amount of rain here in Albaturkey! Rain = good; Humidity = annoying. So there. I don't got new pictures lately (Mom's fault, of course -- I can't work the camera myself). I has a new trick that Mom loves. I sits up on my back foots and stretches up to touch Mom's finger with my nose while still sitting. She has been calling me "Kit-monk." I don't know why -- I don't have no kit and I is not a monk! I is a GIRL and girls aren't monks! Silly Mom. If she gets a pitchure, I'll post it. She hasn't managed yet .... heh heh heh.

I hope you all is having good summers!!

Name Meme from William's site

Meme from William of Mass Destruction:

In case you aren't familiar with The Naming of Cats, in the Old Possum's Book of Practical Cats, by T.S. Eliot, we all have three names! So, in this meme, you must link to the originator of the meme (Tara and Kavan), list the following rules, and then tell us:

1. The name that the family uses daily (such as Peter, Agustus, Alonzo, or James)
2. The name that is particular, a name that's peculiar, and more dignified (such as Munkustrap, Quaxo, or Coricopat)
3. What you are doing when you are thinking of the name that only you know, and will never confess (when engaged in rapt contemplation), that deep and inscrutable singular name

1. Chloe
2. Bubbas (Uncle D used to call me this when I was tiny before he brought me to live with Mom)
3. Holding my mom down so I can sleep on her

That was way fun! William always has the bestest things on his blog!

Same old stuff here -- waiting for dinner, sleeping on Mom, hiding when someone knocks on the door (always best to hide from peoples coming from outside), etc. It is nice and warmbly outside so I can sit in the window sills without my toesies getting cold. I watch Mom when she leaves and when she gets back from wherever it is she goes when she isn't here. She went to Aunt D's house on Sunday for a birthday party and to Grandma's yesterday for Moms' Day. That means I gots to do some surfing and looking at cat blogs (finally - she kinda hogs the computer sometimes lately).
And here's a new and beautimous picture of me!

I'm bored

I'm bored. I lost all my new moosies and Mom isn't home so I can't bite her. She's helping Grandma with her computer. Grandma should have asked me. I'm much better at messin' with computers than Mom is. I don't like our printer, though. It goes real fast and spits papers out at us!

I think William's sister is right about getting extra stuff for forgotten birthdays! I hope she and Russell Bustle get some good stuff. I hope William does, too! I was lucky - Mom got me 3 new moosies for my firstest birthday last year. Since I will be two, I had better get 6 new moosies!! Mom said to me the other day, "Chloe, will you please stop killing your moosies? The cotton stuffing is making a mess!" I told her that it isn't stuffing; its guts and they're supposed to be messy. So there, Mom!
